Run, Scream and Shout

Furkid Shalom running at our fave beach @ Ruby's Resort. She does look like she is running, screaming and shouting as well... Its been 2 weeks odd since I ran. Chose to rest as the knee needed the break. Nothing to do with running but merely my clumsiness during a kickboxing session! So in absence of...

This and That: 8th March 2013

We're already in the month of March...almost quarter way through 2013. For me, time certainly passed a bit too quickly but again, there is no complains since our much looked forward trip to Cherating (my second home) in tomorrow! A recycled picture from my previous stays... Of course the trip is also...

One Woman Can™ Beauty Contest

I love makeup palettes. They look fun and pretty much promise lots of fun once you lay your hands on them. After all, with a brush here, some colours there, a little bit of blending and all, one is transformed from plain Jane to a stunning diva. And that's why I enjoy going for beauty makeovers. Its...

My Italian Affair with Ruffino

My muse last Friday was Ruffino i cozy Villa Danieli. Being wined and dined in a cozy setting certainly puts a smile on a girl's face especially when its almost the weekend! The evening kicks off in the courtyard set against the golden sunset. My glass of Ruffino Prosecco DOC is served nicely chilled.

Dermalogica Solar Defence Booster

No matter how lazy, I don't skip my sunblock ritual. Though I learnt recently that mere application of sunblock before we step out isn't enough. At a recent session with Dermalogica that recently introduced a few new formulations and upgrades to its Daylight Defense System, I learnt quite a bit of...

My Crizal Forte UV

I wear spectacles and have yet to revert to contact lenses for the obvious reasons that my eyes are terribly dry whenever I put them on. Attended an event held by Crizal Lenses last month. Interesting facts about the lenses and of course about eye care. Crizal coatings ensure clearer vision by attacking...

Jack the Giant Slayer

Fee-Fi-Fo-Fum. I smell the retelling of an English folk tale by Hollywood. And before anyone would cry fie, Bryan Singer who brought us enthralling movies such as The Usual Suspects, X-men, X2 and Superman Returns, weaves a well known english folk tale with a dose of updated charm of...

Lion Dance at The Westin Kuala Lumpur

I am not sure about you but I sure miss CNY. 2 things that I miss most would be yee sang and the cute lions. So bear with me as I relive my 2013 CNY in a few more posts. One of the cutest lion dance that I caught this year would be the one at The Westin KL. The dancers were good and certainly...

Limablas

Checked out Limablas on its sixth day of business last night. Have to admit that I had a lil bit of problem looking for it...it is smack next to No Black Tie but it has no sign board! Hang on! Limablas has many signboards inside but not outside...and none of the signboards even bear their restaurant name.

Mandara Spa @ Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur

Monday blues? Work week's worth of sores and aches? Or just for some good pampering to rejuvenate? That's when a spa comes in nice and handy. And its a random Monday that we popped into Mandara Spa for some pampering. How the heck did we do it on weekday? We deserved it after a non stop 7 days of working...

XALF

I won't speak for every woman but I dare speak for myself and many ladies out there. We all love our killer heels of 4" and above. Of course I confess that I wear flats and trainers on most days but come when its appropriate and necessary, I will be donning my 4" or more. And when friends ask me doesn't it...

Aoyama the Green Room

Aoyama the Green Room is still one of the better Japanese restaurants in town since 2006. Not quite your traditional Japanese restaurant but its a fusion Japanese with different influences - which the Chef marries them deliciously well! With rather affordable set lunches and regular Japanese menu, we were...

How to Run a 6 Hours Marathon!

Many of my run buddies are off to Hong Kong for the weekend as they run their Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon 2013. Missed it as I have been too slow in registration. Anyhow, there is still next year and many more years for me to run! So have a fabulous run folks! Story me with your experience when...

SCKLM 2013

There is this little park in town that I drive past almost every day. Now I know that lil park that I love and admire is actually Malaysia's first “pocket park” collaboration under the Economic Transformation Programme (ETP) Greener KL/ Klang Valley initiative. It is also in this quaint park now known...

Rich Baliz

My neighbour buzzed me asking if I liked lobsters. And she adds that it is "affordable lobsters!". So here we are at Hotel Rich Baliz in Selayang. Honestly, when I arrived at Hotel Rich Baliz, I was quite surprised to see the place. Clean, spacious and interesting. I was asked if I wanted a...

CEDAR on 15

Dining on the roof top seems to be a trend now. No harm too since the KL skyline is quite a pretty sight. CEDAR on 15 @ Impiana KLCC now has a new addition and indeed has elevated this hotel to a new level. Never much of a hotel that is mentioned for its restaurants, I think with CEDAR on 15, Impiana has...

Bird in Hand

Spent an evening at Punch Bar and Lounge at Best Western Premier, Dua Sentral checking out the wines by Bird in Hand. The tasting came aptly as I have been running through a fair bit of Australian wines of late. Bird in Hand originates from Adelaide. If I can use the term, its a boutique estate. In case...

Recipe: Konnyaku Jelly

Been ages since I made any jelly. some weeks back, my running group had a mini pot luck after our regular weekend runs. With any pot luck, I would normally prefer to bring something from my kitchen instead of buying. But honestly, running at 630am and preparing food smack before the run sounds a bit...
