Al-Qasiy (al-Qasiyah) bukanlah nama orang. Al-Qasiy adalah sebutan bagi seseorang yang berhati keras. Maksud hati keras di sini bukanlah hati yang memiliki pendirian teguh, tidak cepat berputus asa, bukan pula hati yang mengandung tekad kuat dan tak akan berhenti bekerja sebelum cita-citanya tercapai.
