Ribuan tahanan dipercayai tentera pejuang tentera Al-Qaeda dan tentera Isis telah dibebaskan oleh pejuang Taliban di Kabul setelah "menyapu bersih" ibu kota Afghanistan itu semalam. Pangkalan udara Bagram yang menempatkan sekitar 5,000 tahanan itu telah diserahkan kepada tentera Taliban pada awal hari Ahad.
